True Blood

It’s unfortunate that life isn't like a fictional (HBO original series) If only I could ask a sexy vampire to compel me to forget about my ex-husband.  My life would be so much easier. And I damn sure wouldn't be questioning my decisions.  There would be no more, “I wonder what Mark would think.”

Who Am I?

It’s amazing that when you ask yourself a simple question like, “Who am I?” instead of instantly knowing the answer to the question and raising your hand with the all-knowing enthusiastic “ Pick me” attitude you sit silent, your mind blank, and the unanswered question is “ You have no idea.”

Confession Of a Soccer Mom: Kate

Sometimes I close my eyes at night and imagine a life that was once simple to me; you know familiar and uncomplicated.  I was happy and had everything I had ever wanted (or so I thought.) I just assumed that my ex-husband was happy also (notice I say ex). I laugh now and shake my head, because there was nothing happy about my life; other than the simplicity of it.

Once I recovered from what at the time seemed like a catastrophic event (my life crumbling before me) not to mention being constantly reminded that I was now alone; I knew starting over was not going to be easy. But let’s face it; nothing in life ever seems to be easy, well at least not to me.

I could vent for hours about How my ex-husband destroyed my life and feel sorry for myself; you know all that " Why me? What did I do to deserve this?" And to be honest, in the beginning that was how I responded to his request for a divorce, but who wouldn't?

It is human nature to want to be loved and cared for, and when all you know is being ripped from your grasp, you crawl under a rock and hide from the world or you start over and open your eyes to the world that you have been forbidden to explore.

Don’t get me wrong, though at the time it felt like I was the only women in the world going through such a life shattering event, I quickly found out that I am not the only women on this planet that thought her husband (ex-husband) was the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor, the first and only man to ever touch me; you know, the whole package: high school sweethearts get married, have a family and live happily ever after. Yup, that same man that I adored is also the same fucken dirt bag that ripped out my heart and stepped on it like an annoying fly bussing around his head.

My name is Kate and this my adventure.
